Board of Chosen Freeholders

The Ocean County Department of Planning serves as staff to the Ocean County Planning Board. In addition to regular Planning Board responsibilities, the department is involved in a broad range of planning programs including Community and Economic Development, Long Range and Strategic Planning, Open Space Preservation, Environmental Programs, Transportation, Demographics, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).

U.S. Census Bureau Recruiting for Census Jobs

In advance of the 2020 Census, the U.S. Census Bureau is recruiting thousands of people for temporary jobs across the country.

Please be advised that the County's contractor is on the Barnegat Branch Trail conducting tree trimming and removal of vegetation for regular maintenance of the trail.

Please be advised the Natural Lands Trust Fund Advisory Committee Meeting of September 25, 2019 has been CANCELLED.

This Memorial Day weekend, Ocean County will officially kick off the 22nd year of its successful Pumpout Boat Program.

		Freeholder Director Virginia E. Haines serves as the 2019 Director of the Ocean County Board of Chosen Freeholders. She is the first woman in 40 years to lead Ocean County Government.
