Owner-Occupied Housing Rehab Administering AgencyAffordable Housing Alliance administers the day-to-day operations of the Housing Rehabilitation Program. The purpose of the the program is to provide moderate and substantial rehabilitation to owner-occupied low and moderate-income households.
The program rehabilitates dwellings to meet local and state building codes. The moderate rehabilitation program provides ten-year deferred loans from $1,000 to $24,999. The substantial rehabilitation program provides deferred loans from $25,000 to $50,000, which also requires a ten-year deferred loan. Eligible projects include: Weatherization, Handicapped Accessibility, Code Issues, Structural Concerns, Roof Replacement, and more.
Who can apply? Ocean County Residents (except for Brick, Toms River, Jackson, and Lakewood, they have separate programs). Qualifying household income limits (See table below).
