The Master Plan provides an overview of population and land use in Ocean County, as well as recommendations for the future.
The Ocean County Master Plan is not regulatory and serves as a guide and resource for municipalities and other interested parties. It contains information on numerous subjects, including economic development, transportation, environmental protection and the growing importance of Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst to our area. If you have any questions or would like to discuss items contained within the Ocean County Master Plan, please contact the Planning Department.
The Final Adopted 2011 Master Plan is also available for review at all branches of the Ocean County Library.
January 2018 Amendment
This update includes a Functional Roadway Map for Ocean County, County Road Right of Way Widths, and incorporates the Ocean County Transportation Model 2017 Update.
September 19, 2018 Amendment
This update includes new required ROW widths for certain County roads in Jackson and Lakewood Townships per the Ocean County Transportation Model. View Map.
